If the claim is successful Thompsons Solicitors (Scottish) will deduct a fee from the compensation you receive. The success fee is 40% inclusive of VAT and expenses. This figure will be deducted from your compensation before you receive it.

Venus Legal

We are working with Venus Legal, a legal firm undertaking diesel emissions claims against car manufacturers including Mercedes. This collaboration allows us to provide quality representation for our customers who have potentially been mis-sold a vehicle.

Their team of litigation experts will guide you through the process and in our experience, clients who claim in a group action benefit from a shared strategy and strength in numbers. 

If the claim is successful Venus Legal will deduct a fee from the compensation you receive. The success fee is 40% exclusive of VAT and expenses, as a result the fee to be deducted would be no more than 50%. This figure will be deducted from your compensation before you receive it.

Leigh Day

We work alongside Leigh Day Solicitors, who have an extensive panel of solicitors handling claims manufacturers for diesel emissions.

For Diesel Emissions claims, Leigh Day will deduct 30% of your compensation exclusive of VAT. Expenses will be payable in addition (these include court fees and fees for instructing experts, but not barristers’ fees).

If Leigh Day can also recover a contribution to your legal costs from the defendants they will do so, and this money will then off-set the sum you have to pay to them. As such, the percentage stated is the maximum you have to pay; if legal costs are recovered, the amount you end up paying will be less.
